We’re heading back to the<\/span> Talland School of Equitation <\/span>in Gloucestershire,<\/span> where our cast and crew will be under the ever-watchful eye of international dressage rider and trainer, <\/span>Pammy Hutton<\/span>. This year is set to be like no other – with secret guests, new challenges and a format that you’ve never seen before on the show.<\/span><\/div>\n

How do I apply?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Hurrah! We can\u2019t wait to see your application. Simply fill out the online form, submit your very best \u2018audition video\u2019 and we\u2019ll be in touch.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do you select the series cast?<\/b><\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for horse and rider combinations who are competent in all three disciplines, eager to learn and like a laugh! Each audition video will be reviewed by our team, and we\u2019ll be looking to announce those who are successful in the beginning of August.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What are the stages of selection? When will candidates hear back from H&C?<\/b><\/p>\n

Entries are open until 13 July 2022.<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>We\u2019re expecting to be inundated with All Star hopefuls(!), so need a little time to review all your super submissions! We\u2019ll aim to announce our cast of 8 on 3 August<\/strong><\/em> via our website, social media and other channels.<\/span><\/p>\n

How will we be contacted if successful?<\/b><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll look to contact our cast via email at the end of July.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nCan I enter with more than one horse?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes! However, we\u2019ll only be accepting one horse\/rider combination per household.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Can I apply if I’m under 18?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Sadly not. For insurance purposes, our cast members for this series need to be aged 18 or over. Your time might come in future series – so don\u2019t despair!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Can I apply if I have a loan horse\/pony?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes, you certainly can! Just ensure you have the owner\u2019s permission to move them, and you meet the rest of our criteria.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Can I apply if I don\u2019t want to jump with my horse?<\/b><\/p>\n

Not for this series, we\u2019re afraid! The ideal All Star Champion is an excellent all-rounder – so be prepared to strut your stuff, scale those heights and give it all you\u2019ve got.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can I apply if I don\u2019t have transport?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

You can – however, you\u2019ll still need to be responsible for arranging your own transport to and from Talland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can I apply if I don\u2019t have social media?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes, being social media savvy isn\u2019t a necessity. However, we\u2019ll be announcing key updates, hints, and tips via H&C\u2019s social accounts, so it may be useful to create your own account if successful.<\/span><\/p>\n

What level of fitness should my horse be to apply?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

During filming, you may be required to ride your horse several times a day, which will include all three disciplines, so he\u2019ll need to be fit enough to be able to cope with this level of work. As a guide, he should be fit enough that he could compete at BE80 comfortably.<\/span><\/p>\n

Does my horse need to be of a certain age to apply?<\/b><\/p>\n

Horses need to be aged four and above. There\u2019s not upper age limit, however he needs to be sound, healthy and fit enough to cope with the workload.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Does my horse need to be shod?<\/b><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t require horses to be shod for the series. However, horse welfare is paramount and if there\u2019s any sign of unsoundness, the horse will be withdrawn from filming. So, please consider whether a barefoot or partially shod horse will be able to cope with the amount of work required.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What happens if my horse goes lame?<\/b><\/p>\n

Of course, life with horses is unpredictable and no one can guarantee soundness. So, unfortunately if a cast member\u2019s horse goes lame in the run up to filming week or during filming, they may need to be withdrawn. However, we would follow veterinary advice where possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where will filming be?<\/b><\/p>\n

Filming will take place at Talland School of Equitation in Gloucestershire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Will accommodation be provided?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes! Horse & Country will provide on-site accommodation for all cast members.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do I need any specific tack to enter?<\/b><\/p>\n
