The 45th edition of Indoor Friesland returns to Leeuwarden from 9–17 October 2026, bringing more than a week of national and international equestrian sport to the Netherlands. The event opens with three days of dressage before moving onto the showjumping classes, with both disciplines reaching their respective Grand Prix finals.
Dressage takes centre stage from 9–11 October, with the programme spanning CDI1, CDI3, CDIP, CDIJ, CDIY and CDIU25** competition. The huge varitey of classes means Indoor Friesland has a particularly broad international appeal, with pony, junior, young rider and U25 combinations competing alongside established Grand Prix riders.
The dressage weekend culminates in the SLTN CDI3 Grand Prix Indoor Friesland Freestyle to Music* on Sunday afternoon local time – the high-point of the event for any dressage fan, where riders have chosen music and choreography to show off their horse’s strengths and create unforgettable atmosphere.
From 15–17 October, the focus switches to showjumping, with CSI1 and CSI3** classes building towards the SLTN CSI3 Grand Prix Indoor Friesland*, a 1.55m class with a jump-off. The programme also includes 1.40m and 1.45m classes, 1.50m Grand Prix qualifiers and the CSI1* Grand Prix.
