Defending World Cup champion Beezie Madden is on flying form in this year’s series, winning the third and fourth leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Eastern Sub-League.

Beezie and her World Cup winner Breitling LS took the title in Washington, while she rode new horse Chic Hin D Hyrencourt to victory in Lexington.
The defending champions were third to go in a four-horse jump-off in Washington, and shaved more than two seconds off the current leaders.
It was an all-American female podium, with Katie Dinan (Dougie Douglas) second and Lucy Davis (Caracho) third.
“This was [Breitling’s] first indoor event of the year,” Beezie said. “It’s nice to see that he’s in form. It just shows why he was so good at the World Cup Finals. He walked right in here, and he’s clever, rideable, adjustable, careful, and he can handle tight spaces like this.”

One week later Beezie piloted Chic Hin D Hyrencourt to victory in his World Cup debut.
Once again, American women took the top three spots. Molly Ashe Cawley – who won the opening leg in New York – was just two-tenths of a second off the leaders on Cat Ballou, while Laura Kraut and Confu were third.
Women are also leading the way on the North American Eastern Sub-League leaderboard. Beezie and Molly are at the top on 46 points, while Lucy David is third on 40 and Georgina Bloomberg is fourth on 28.
