The British team made up of Izzy Taylor, Laura Collett, Rosalind Canter and Holly Woodhead were victorious in Strzegom, Poland for the second year running.
Triumphant
Britain took the fourth leg of the 2016 FEI Nations Cup in convincing style to go top in the overall series standings, with five events to go this season.
The all-female team dominated on the cross-country course, where Izzy Taylor and KBIS Briarlands Matilda produced a foot-perfect round to go clear inside the time.
Rosalind Canter and Allstar B did the same to put pressure on the other eight teams.
Talking after the rider’s cross-country, Great Britain’s FEI Nations Cup Eventing team manager Philip Surl said “It was very well-built and the footing was excellent.
“I was immensely proud of the Cross Country rounds all four of my riders produced – they absolutely nailed it,” he added.
No match
The British riders proved no match for the other nations as they claimed the fourth leg win by a subsequent 13 points to Italy.
Germany by far looked the team to beat, with Olympic and European Champion Michael Jung scoring the only sub 40 dressage mark.
However, the favourites couldn’t hold their lead and slipped into fourth place.
Sweden’s Ludwig Svennerstal finished on his dressage score with King Bob to take the individual top spot ahead of Jung on his dual Kentucky winner, fischerTakinou FST.
The fifth leg will take place in The Plains, USA from 8th – 10th July.
