British Dressage’s fun team competition is back for 2015 with new rules, new venues and new championships.
Team Quest Club
Team Quest riders must now be paid members of British Dressage (BD) – or you can join the new Team Quest Club for just £20 a year.
Your horse also needs to be registered with BD, with the minimum of free ‘associate horse’ registration.
If you took park in 2014, you need to re-register your team this year with all your BD numbers.
Another change to this season is there are now regional competitions and regional finals. This is to ensure teams competing in areas of the UK with fewer venues have a fair chance of qualifying for the National Finals.
More accessible
Team Quest was launched last year, in a bid to make dressage more accessible. It involves teams of three or four riders, of all ages and abilities, with the best three scores counting towards an overall team total.
Teams are divided into three age categories – 16 and under, 25 and under, and mixed – and each competitor can chose to ride an Intro, Prelim or Novice test.
