Jessica von Bredow-Werndl has won the Reem Acra FEI World Cup Western European League qualifier in Gothenburg, Sweden for the second year running.
Great form
Once again the 29-year-old German partnered Unee BB. While their score of 81.650% wasn’t a personal best, it was enough to take the title.
Isabell Werth (GER) and El Santo were second on 79.900%, while Edward Gal (NED) and Glock’s Voice came third with 78.100%.
Jessica and Unee BB have been on great form in recent months, scoring a hat-trick in the Grand Prix, Special and Freestyle at Kaposvar,Hungary. This was followed by a second on home ground at Stuttgart and third-place finishes at London’s Olympia and in Amsterdam.
Her World Cup win in Gothenburg means she maintains her place at the top of the Western European league.
Potential to improve
“There were many good competitors here, and in the Grand Prix and Freestyle a lot depends on your communication with your horse and your daily relationship,” she said.
“My horse was completely with me.This was my best ride, we were really consistent, and when your horse is like that you can ask for a little more. I’m also excited because I feel we have some more potential to improve.”
