The Rolex Grand Slam is the toughest series in showjumping, with the biggest prize money. Any rider that can consecutively win the Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows, Geneva and Aachen will receive a €1million bonus.
Scott Brash is the only rider in history to have achieved such a feat back in 2015, riding the super talented Hello Sanctos.
This year a fourth event has been added, with the Dutch Masters in `s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands joining the Rolex Grand Slam fixtures. This means there will now be a Major in each quarter of the calendar:
- CHIO Aachen in Germany on 23 July
- Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ CSIO in Calgary, Canada on 10 September
- CHI Geneva on 10 December
- `s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on 11 March 2018
Despite this new addition, the rules of Rolex Grand Slam still apply. However, if any rider can win the fourth additional Major the bonus will be doubled to an incredible €2million.
