British Eventing (BE) is to receive a £16,000 grant to help more people get involved in the sport.
New equipment
The Hoof Capital Funding Award will pay for equipment, such as scoreboards and fence judging kits, which is needed to set up more BE one day events and training.
According to Alex Copeland, head of sports development at the British Equestrian Federation (BEF), the new Go BE80/90 training series has helped many riders compete in entry level competitions.
Full potential
“The BEF is working to encourage more people to participate in equestrian sport on a regular basis,” said Alex. “We are working closely with all member bodies of the federation to ensure people have the opportunities and appropriate support to continue to develop in order to reach their full potential no matter the standard of horse or rider.”
